Winter Holiday Mania 2

Yo!! I'm back.. haha... I've read evryone's blogs juz now... i counted bout 40 blogs!! omg... haha... anw, now my turn to blog le... before that, wanna remind u all that there's no obligations to read evry word cuz this post got lotsa pictures!! haha... juz look at em can le...

Other than the Christchurch ppl's visit, there's also the Palmerston North ppl... Pat pat o~~ hehe... She came here and we brought her ard... Waiheke Island, sing KTV etc etc... then she went down to Rotorua with her frens le... me, Florence and Pik Khee oso went there but met up with em one day later la... haha...
Took the Nakedbus service!! this Nakedbus is in the Pavlovich colour... hehe... normally Nakedbus busses are in black...
Along the way, got lotsa cute cute names like this one... haha... Papakura!! sounds like Father tortoise...
Dun play play ar... I oso went to Cambridge lei... hehehe... small town only la... aiks~ not the famous university lo...
After 4 hours bus ride, me, Florence and Pik Khee finally reach Rotorua to meet up with Pat and friends... hehe.. had lunch, check in to backpackers and next is the fun part!! The Luge!! haha... the above thing is the Luge kart lo... haha.. and a helmet la... so, basically, we sat on these and speed down the hill... and go up again and down again... NZD 45 for 5 rides + Gondola ride up the hill... worth it!!
Reminds me of Genting Highlands... hehe...

We had to choose our helmets first... hehe... green is large, blue is medium and red is small... haha... dun we look like tortoises? Pat say i look more like a tortoise liao~~ -_-|||

Scenic track, advanced or intermediate track?? take ur pick~~ haha.. went on the scenic thrice while the rest took once... the advanced track was vy short and make me feel like in Initial D wor!! haha... btw, i nearly buang (skid off track) oso... aiks~
After go down liao, we have to take this naked gondola thg up to the top again to go down lo... haha... this one just like skiing... weee~~~~

Ok... back to the question... why we so cold?? cuz it actually snowed when we took the naked gondola!!! omg... my 1st time see snow in NZ.... then, we Luge down the hill in the snow for our last ride... the experience was so so thrilling~~ so so freezing too and not to mention WET.....
She threw that on me... thank gudness din hit me.. haha!! ne ne ne pu pu!! =P

Anyway, we had a group photo!! no matter how wet and cold we feel, at least we stil can smile and pose la... haha... From left, front row, me, Joseph, John, Zhong Yu, Pat, Nai Chen, Bo, Florence, Pik Khee, Arvin and Matthew... back row, Jason and Amy... haha... big big group lei~
I suddenly noticed evryone gathering at a place and Pat actually knelt down like wanna pray liddat... so, i curious la... i went there to see wat's happening...
Chieh~ actually bhind them got a heater la~~ haha... looks like a jet engine lei... sounds like one too... this one can actually use to bbq one lei... the heat is so power wor!! haha...
Yea~ right after we play at the Luge, we went to a spa!! oh, it's juz heavenly... Polynesian Spa...
It actually consists of these type of pools... smokin hot! the hottest i think was 41 °C... After such a cold experience, it's owaz gud to have a hot dip la~~ haha...
Wat's more? we got the lake view there!! haha... the green arrows all point toward the Rotorua lake... but at nite cant see anythg oso... aiks~
After the dip, we went to have a shower to wash away the sulphur... then i noticed this... was wondering since when we got a malay gal with us there wor... -_-||
Who knows it's actually Pat pat la... haha... she kinda reminds me of my Specialist Math lecturer, Mdm. Zurina... haha... she's reli a great lecturer!! =D
After the spa, we all went back to our backpackers to have BBQ!! yea.... haha... reminds me of tat time in South Korea... after spa, i oso had BBQ...from left, Bo and John... and on the BBQ platform from front, onions, chicken wings and two plates beef... hehe...
So, only Bo and John cookin la... we all sat down and wait only... haha... left to right, Zhong Yu and Jason... there's a bottle of Heineken, sausages, onions, half and well-done beef... nice lei~ but i din eat the beef la...
I went ard the kitchen and juz look at this... so so complete!! haha... from oil to spices... all got! after BBQ, we went to our room le... din do much tat nite lo... vy tired la... haha...
Next mornin, we had our bfast... and frankly speakin, this photo reli kidna wrong la... Joseph seems like fantasizing liddat lei... haha... Aaaahhhhh~~~~~ -_-||
We then walked ard town... introducing Rotorua!! dead town with only 4 ppl crossin the road and a group of student tourists frm Auckland and Palmerston North... haha...
We bumped into this... haha... Jack, since when u open a backpackers' one?? haha... and u think tat guy looks like him anot?? haha... oops~ We were actually walkin to a bus stop to wit for a bus to a thermal park...
But..... bus din come and made us wait for one and a half hour!! no wonder Pat so emo hide at a corner la... aiks~ tat time wind vy strong too... vy chilly~~~
Pat: Hey, Pik Khee! go find ur own corner to emo la....
Pik Khee: Dun wan~~ i wanna emo with u in this corner.....

haha... the dialogue i create myslf one la... they din say anythg tat time... too cold liao...
Well, in the end we din go to that thermal park... so, decided to go to a park near our backpackers la... haha.. there got a lake, playground, thermal pools and steaming mud!!

After inhaling lotsa fart gas and rotten egg gas, we plan to go back and prepare to go to Taupo!! yay!! lookie here... Haupapa sounds like 'really scared scared' wor... hehe... erm.. it's in chinese la...
Me, Pat, Florence and Arvin at the tourism centre waiting for Amy and Jason... we sat their cars to Taupo... John and Joseph took the bus there cuz too many ppl cant fit into two cars lo...hehe...
When we reached Taupo, it's alrdy dark and we're all hungry... what to do?? went to Pizza Hut to eat!! haha...

The next day, mornin early early wake up and then went to rent a car!! haha... nvr would i dreamed that i'd drive again here wor... haha... I rented a 2004 Daewoo Kalos... yea~
Went ard to see sceneries... this is Huka Falls... Nai Chen and me...
Another reason why rent car? cuz wanna play this mar... Huka falls Jet!! seriously syok (exciting) lo... yipee!!

After the excitement, we were brought to Huka Falls... nice view lei... hehe... got rainbow smore...
After the Huka falls Jet, we came out and there was a prawn farm next door... hehe.. we din have seafood for lunch la... but then i noticed this...
No wonder the prawns are all so fit and healthy... hehe... cute muscle...
This is actually a driving range... if u got a hole-in-one, u'll receive cash prizes one lei... hehe...
Soon, we drove back to town to have our lunch... this is the Taupo lake... i tasted the water... it is fresh water lai de... hehe...
Went to Burgerfuel to eat... hehe...
And guess wat?! u can actually order a Bastard for only NZD 11.70 incld tax!! not bad eh?? haha...
I ordered a Burnout which is bout the size of my hand... aiks~ big lei...
Took a big big bite~ aftr lunch, we went to have ice cream in a nearby McDonald's and then head back le... hehe...
I went to return the car lo... This is scary~~~ I call it 'The Ring Returns'.... haha... it's actually Pik Khee la... seems that smtimes, some gals can b quite scary lo... hehehe...
Finally!!!! 330pm, me, Florence and Pik Khee took our bus back to Auckland and reached bout 830pm... hehe... cool double-decker eh??

Well, that's it la.. what i did for 3 days and 2 nights... so much fun right?? haha... this week i'm gonna rest le la... 2nd semester gonna start soon le... for those who started alrdy, all the best and gud luck ya!! =D c ya again~~

Winter Holiday Mania 1

Yay!! Winter holiday is finally here... muahahaha!!! exams are over and now is the time to enjoy gao gao (enough) ar~ firstly, there's my aunt's wedding here... then there're my friends who visited me and next, I'll do some touring... yeps yeps!! now, i'm gonna blog bout Choon Seng, Calvin and Eric's visit to Auckland (Akl)... They all studyin in Christchurch (Cch) now... doin Engineering too... they came here on the 28th and went back on the 2nd lo...
From left, Choon Seng (CS) and Eric... seems like they juz woke up from sleep and the next thg, they alrdy in Cch airport! haha... juz look at their hair.. all standing...
Look closer.... what can you find lei?? u see that yellow yellow stuff?? i think it's a piece of pi sai (nose sh*t)... haha~ wonder who left it there.....

Finally they reach Akl... hehe... and they bue tahan (can't stand it) dy~ CS juz pounced on Calvin and.............. -_-|| actually they juz playin a fool la... haha!! ehem~~ dun think too muchie =P
They slept in Clarence and Darrel's room.... They dun wanna sleep in my room o... cuz they say Michael (my roomie) is scary~~ haha.... over here, u can see CS conquered the whole space... Calvin and Eric had to sleep outside along the hallway le... aiks~
The next day, Clarence brought them to the Domain... I was with my mum... hehe... that's why wasn't with them la... ok then... first stop there is the Winter Garden~ the photo is showing the inetrior of the garden... in front is a green house... on the left got a fernery...

Next, the Auckland Museum! i tel u... this place vy vy big and nice one lo~ haha... u may ask go there can see wat lei? at most only got some bones and 2nd hand thgs tat ppl dun use anymore mar... but u're wrong..... hehe...
In this museum, u can see all these thgs... CS with a reli huge bird~~

Then hor... the next stop was Mount Eden... hehe... it's quite near Grafton la... that is if drive there... but they took the bus there... once again, Clarence took em there... hehe... There's a dead volcano crater there... and it's supposed to be a sacred Maori ground... but then all three of em went down there... -_-||| Calvin didn't do anythg at the bottom of the crater but CS and Eric actually arranged bricks to show their names... Calvin was like "These naughty boys... the Maori spirits are gonna find em and devour their soul!!"... haha...
Yea!! finally I'm back from my aunt's wedding... hehe... sent my mum back to Malaysia too... then tat day, i brought all 3 of em to Devonport!! haha... Group photo!!! from left, me, Eric, Calvin and CS... we're on the ferry... cost NZD 9 per person for return tix...
Bout 15 mins later, we reach and straight away went up Mount Victoria... hehe... name only Mount but actually it's lower than Bukit Batu Pahat (Batu Pahat Hill in my hometown) la... haha!! this is me sight-seeing lo...
These days teenagers reli a big problem la~~ this is an example of a social ill... aiz~~ a guy grab the poor kid from bhind and the other accomplice will take money from him...
At the summit, we actually tried to take a photo with timer... hehe... this was the 2nd attempt... cuz the wind too strong, my camera was blown off the rocky platform a few times... eventually, we ended up with this pic la... haha... would you juz look at Eric's excited expression!! hehe...
But but but!! finally we got it right~ yay!! haha... From top, me, Calvin, CS and Eric... hehe...
There were a few interesting shots taken too.. like this one... the ladies are like "aiyoyo~~ really is wrecking my nerves ar!!" haha...
Calvin said this looks like Superman.... hehe... so, he named this 'Superman Once Again'.... cannot use Superman Returns cuz it'll violate the copyright law of Batman Returns... aiks~ and soli Cal!! I publish this photo first le... hehe... paiseh hor...

By the time we return, it was alrdy near dinner time lo... hehe... time flies la... I decided to bring em to eat Korean BBQ~~ and so, that nite we had Korean BBQ... before dinner, I brought them into my uni and around la... at nite reli different wor... juz look at this... nice view eh?? this is the Owen G Glenn Building which houses the Business School...
After dinner, we went back to the Harbour... hehe... It juz looks so nice at nite, right?? the orange building is the ferry building and the black one is HSBC...
We then walked further down to the Viaduct... and guess what?! we saw this!! it's MV Doulos, the international book fair... but too bad that time alrdy closed... and the next day, when Clarence reached the front entrance, it sailed off... too bad la.. no one of us managed to enter it... aiks~~ Group photo!! standing from left, me and Eric... Then after that, we posed~~ hehe... nth to do mar... aiyaya... the view bhind is the bridge connecting the city (left) to Northshore (right).... Well, that day we did lotsa walking la... all of us were tired and went back lo... hehe...
The next morning.... told u we were tired... u see these two pigs stil sleeping so sweetly... haha... but sleep that time stil got time to posing wor!!

Anw, I decided to bring em to Waiheke Island... It was my first time there too... hehe... At first I only plan to bring 3 of em go there but aftr tat i asked a few others along... ended up got 12 of us goin there~~ haha!! a lot lei.... oh 4got to intro... On the leftmost is actually Arvin from Palmerston North.... he came with Pat Pat... vy vy long din see her le til now can get to see her lo... hehe... anw, she's stil in Akl la... leavin soon le lo...

What's Waiheke about?? well, it can be about wide vineyards like this one.... but hor... too bad we cant drive la... aiks~ cuz we not 21 yet, we cant rent a car... so, in the end, have to follow a tour la... haha... but stil quite fun lo... =D
It can also be about holiday, picnic and the beach!! haha... sounds nice?
Next, we stopped by Palm Beach!! actually it's the route to Palm Beach la... Palm Beach is down there, bhind us... hehe... Eric and me at the last stop... a winery... i actually tasted the wine... the Chardonnay was awesome!! Soon, we were drove to the town nearby... it's called Oneroa... hehe... it means Sands (One) Long (Roa)... we had fish and chips for our late lunch and then we're free to move ard... hehe...
So, i went ard taking photos of myslf la... haha.. since taking landscapes and sceneries are boring... so, how's this??

We went back soon after and had Malaysian food at Banana Leaf... hehe... then go back and sleep!! the next day, 2nd of July, i sent them back after bought some souvenirs.... now, they're all in Cch alrdy lo... hehe... I reli reli enjoyed bringin em ard lo... hope they'll come again la...
